State employees will have more options for health care in 2015, and most of the plans will be cheaper that what was offered this year.

State employees will have more options for health care in 2015, and most of the plans will be cheaper that what was offered this year.

The 2015 plans include Providence and Kaiser plans that were already provided, as well as plans from Moda, Trillium CCO and Mid-Rogue CCO.

The vast majority of plans are becoming cheaper.

State workers have seen escalating health care costs in recent years, as the state has introduced cost sharing on premiums, deductibles, and fees for tobacco users. This is the first year in many that prices have dropped for state employees.
