Portland officials are advising the public to avoid contact with the water between the Morrison Bridge and the Columbia River confluence near Kelly Point Park.

Monday’s heavy rainstorm caused combined sewage to flow through an outfall pipe near the Morrison Bridge, the city said. As a result, untreated sewage has infiltrated the water.
