The city will participate in a sustainability study with the goal of better understanding the “relationship between environmental and industrial policy and growth.”

Mayor Charlie Hales included the city’s $15,000 share of the contact in his proposed budget, approved by the City Council on Wednesday. The $15,000 comes out of the roughly $9.3 million in discretionary dollars up for grabs during the coming fiscal year.
