The woman elected to lead the seventh-largest state agency and Oregon’s entire prosecutorial arm, Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, makes less than 269 people in her own agency and less than every district attorney — the people elected to do her job on a county level.
This scenario is more pronounced for Rosenblum, but it applies to all of Oregon’s elected officials. They’re out-paid by their direct subordinates, often by significant amounts.
