An Oregon “Center of Cyber-Excellence” would establish curriculum guidelines at the state’s universities and community colleges to help supply skilled workers for the field.

As online security grows in importance to businesses and consumers, the Technology Association of Oregon sees an opportunity to develop a regional specialty in the industry. And the group wants state lawmakers to allocate $5.3 million to pursue that goal.
