Together, the counties should pick up 137,200 new jobs from 2012 to 2022, a 16 percent rate of expansion.
Many of the metro-area trends mirror the statewide forecast: construction will expand the most, but healthcare and business-services companies will add the most jobs in Multnomah and Washington counties. Trade, transportation and utilities will produce the most jobs in Clackamas counties.
