The longshoreman’s union criticized the Port of Portland for using tax revenue to subsidize Hanjin.
The Port fired back, denying the use of tax money. And terminal operator ICTSI Oregon Inc., blamed by the union for delays, said dockworkers should speed up their work.
The squabbling serves as a reminder that all the parties remain embroiled in federal lawsuits, and ICTSI and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union battle daily to show who’s boss on the Portland waterfront.
