Hillsboro-based TriQuint Semiconductor combined with a North Carolina business to create a new company.

The deal splits ownership of the new company equally between TriQuint shareholders and those of RF Micro Devices, which will gives TriQuint shareholders an implied value of $9.73 for each share of stock they owned based on Friday’s closing prices – a 5.4 percent premium.
