Oregonians have filed complaints about online dating services with the Oregon Department of Justice.

Some better known online dating or matchmaking services have collected consumer complaints in recent years with the state Justice Department (877-877-9392). Great Expectations, which has since closed, racked up 18 since 2008, while national player Match.com has 13. It’s Just Lunch, another business with locations across the country, has 11.

Those businesses’ complaints fall in at least one of the following categories, including “failure to fulfill contract,” “failure to deliver goods, services or refund,” and “false or misleading description of quality, quantity, or nature of goods or services.”
