Converse named Portland advertising agency Nemo Design its North American agency of record for retail.
Converse, the Nike-owned subsidiary based in North Andover, Mass., had previously handled the retail responsibility in-house. Anomaly, based in New York, remains the Converse advertising agency of record, a role it has held since 2007.
In the early going, Nemo has helped with the launch of a Converse x Deus Ex Machina Jack Purcell sneaker, a collaboration with the Australian motorcycle brand. The agency crafted retail elements in the Deus Ex Machina shop in Venice, Calif.
