The Cascade Angel Fund is launching in Bend this week to boost startup activity in Central Oregon.

The Cascade Angel Fund aims to back launch-stage companies with investments between $50,000 and $200,000. The fund says it will consider companies from any part of the state, but will emphasize central Oregon. Business consultant Julie Harrelson will manage the fund.

The fund plans to launch at the annual Bend Venture Conference on Friday; sponsors include Karnopp Peterson, which will provide legal services, and Bank of the Cascades, which will provide banking services.
