Intel is silent on the status of the upcoming video device called OnCue.
Both Bloomberg and Fox Business asked Intel CFO Stacy Smith about launch plans for the video service in broadcast interviews Tuesday, and Smith declined to talk about timing. With the fourth quarter well under way, though, a delay to 2014 is now a foregone conclusion. Smith did say that Intel is proceeding with the device.
“Key for us is going to be to have the content lined up so it’s a great experience, and then have the right partners in place so we can scale it fast,” Smith told Bloomberg.
