Portland online fraud detection company Iovation teamed up with Equifax.
The companies created a product for businesses that will help verify the identity of users — Equifax’s strong suit. Iovation’s contribution is software that helps identify whether the device being used in the transaction – whether that be a smart phone, computer or tablet — is linked to any fraud activity. In a release, Equifax announced the product would help protection businesses and their customers from identity theft, hijacked accounts and other fraud.
