Thousands of Oregonians have collected more than $199 million in housing-debt relief as part of a national mortgage settlement with five major servicers.
More than 3,100 homeowners were provided some sort of relief or benefit averaging $63,745 per homeowner, which is lower than the national average, according to a federal report released Monday.
Bank of America Corp. provided the most relief in Oregon, followed by JPMorgan Chase & Co., Wells Fargo & Co., Citibank, and Ally Financial Inc., a report from the Office of Mortgage Settlement Oversight showed.
