Eugene technology company Versalogic is moving its embedded computer manufacturing and operations business to the Portland area to tap into a larger pool of trained workers.

Eugene technology company Versalogic is moving its embedded computer manufacturing and operations business to the Portland area to tap into a larger pool of trained workers.

“As a long-time resident of Eugene this was not an easy personal decision for me,” [President Len] Crane wrote in the note [to Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy]. “However, as a business decision it’s clear that we need to have access to a larger pool of technical employees to support our growth.”

Versalogic has been in Eugene for 30 years.

The embedded computers it specializes in are small, precision devices that control specific tasks inside scientific, medical, industrial and other equipment.
