Some Southern Oregon landowners are frustrated by a proposed natural gas pipeline.

Douglas County landowners have grave concerns the federal government will use its eminent domain authority to force the pipeline onto their properties. The property owners say they see no public good coming out of the private project and complain they will receive insufficient compensation to justify letting a potentially explosive pipeline on their land.

The pipeline would decrease property values and increase domestic natural gas prices, property owners say. Many worry about the environmental impact and hazards of building the pipeline through mountainous terrain.
