A legislative task force will make a third try at coming up with a plan for cutting emissions.
A legislative task force will try to find ways to make transportation and land-use planning cut down Oregon’s greenhouse gas emissions – the third attempt of its kind.
The task force brings together 16 members, including representatives of the AAA/Oregon and Oregon Home Builders Association, Oregon Environmental Council and 1000 Friends of Oregon, and Oregon’s six metropolitan transportation-planning organizations including Salem-Keizer.
“Our common goals of the people around this table are more significant than the points of difference,” said House Speaker Dave Hunt, D-Gladstone, co-chairman of the task force.
