After rapid growth driven by pricier grains and other crops during last year’s speculation on ethanol, Oregon’s farm prices have settled back down to 2007 levels. Greenhouse/nursery products, dairy products and wheat increased their shares among the state’s top commodities in 2007, while cattle declined in value. The value of Oregon ag exports are less than half of Washington’s, yet the entire Pacific Northwest accounts for less than half of California’s value.
