City governance is probably the purest form of government we have today [LEADERSHIP: THE NEW RULES, January]. Mayors and city councilors meet and work with citizens at the local level on issues that affect all of us. Oregon’s 241 cities have some incredibly dedicated, talented leaders. Out of 241 mayors, all but two are volunteers. I hope I will be seeing something about city governance in the series.
