County jobless rates continue to rise despite expectations for summer.
Seasonal employment usually boosts employment rates, but this year the numbers continue to climb in counties across Oregon.
In May, all but three Oregon counties posted double-digit unemployment rates. And all but five counties saw unemployment double from a year ago in May 2008.
Still, the spiking unemployment figures are slackening their pace, and some employers in construction and temporary staffing are adding jobs for the first time in 10 months.
