State Treasurer Ted Wheeler announced changes to disclose more information about Treasury operations.

The information will include more on travel-related expenses, which have been the focus of news accounts and investigations.

Among the changes, which were recommended by an independent panel:

Investment-related travel: The state will pay directly for travel and seek reimbursements from the limited partnerships Oregon may be part of, and then the records would be public. Now, some travel is in the form of negotiated expenses with the partnerships.

Treasury-related contracts: Details will be posted online for contracts for banking services and bond counsel, excluding information that state lawyers decide is not disclosable.”
