The Portland Trail Blazers launched their efforts to renew season ticket holders, and are pulling out all the stops to make up for an uncertain roster next season.

At the beginning of the 2009-10 season, the Blazers started Rip City United, a program that offers benefits and discounts to season ticket holders.

“Under the circumstances, the business is going well,” Blazers chief operating officer Sarah Mensah said recently. “Of course, the business tends to fall on how the team goes. And what we’re hearing from fans is that despite some of the adversity on the court, they’re really appreciating the play that they’re seeing.”

Blazers staff members forge ahead to retain their season ticket base, which makes up about 60 percent of all tickets sold.
