Instant Logic, which has secured $195 million in investments, joins the growing list of California companies expanding in Portland.

The software startup currently has a few employees working in a coworking space in the Pearl District. It hopes to expand to as many as 20 Portland employees.

“We expanded the office here to tap into the talent pool in Portland,” [vice president of technical operations Justin] Fitzhugh said. “We see Portland as a hot bed for up-and-coming startups and enterprises and technology.”

Fitzhugh is familiar with the Portland tech landscape. He frequently traveled to the city as part of a four year stint at Jive Software.
