An Oregon doctor is the latest to utilize Kickstarter to get his product off the ground.

Dr. Jim Rickards’ Core Ball Complete aims to making workouts easier by selling medicine balls with routine information printed on them.

The crowdfunding campaign raised $42,515 from 112 backers since launching in July.

The Yamhill radiologist said the company’s goal is to have the ball out to people by June 2016. People can preorder the Core Ball Complete, which retails at $55, through the Kickstarter campaign

“I have gotten tons of support from Oregon- based folks, which has been great because my goal is to really grow this as an Oregon company, support the local economy, and use as many local and regional resources as I can to start this up and get more people fit,” Rickards said.
