A $3 billion natural gas project linking Wyoming to Malin, Oregon nears approval.
The $3 billion Ruby Pipeline project could prove a windfall for Lakeview workers and business owners, with hundreds of local hires and hundreds more moving in to build the pipeline, seeking out lodging, food and other necessities.
Several regulatory hurdles remain, but company officials are confident.
“It’s going to happen. You can take that to the bank,” said Lars Ecklund, project coordinator for Ruby Pipeline LLC.
