The global village is uneasy. In this installment of Input, the 583 respondents to our questions about online privacy shows that 80% have increased concerns over privacy issues, with social media seen as the biggest threat. A large majority is also aware their activities are being monitored online. Despite this and in the face of the myriad privacy lawsuits that have been brought against companies including Facebook, Google, Amazon, Yahoo and Sony Music, online usage shows no sign of decreasing. The survey was conducted in late December by CFM Strategic Communications.
