Oregon Wine Board says the 2014 crop of bottles could be “the vintage of a lifetime.”

The biggest challenge many vintners are now facing is how to keep the values of their premium wines high in the face of this abundance, a challenge that some are quietly saying is likely to result in some great bargains for consumers shopping in the secondary label and bulk wine market.

In 2013, late September rains and cold temperatures shrank harvests and challenged winemakers’ skills, according to local vintners.
