GraphAlchemist will use the money from angel investors to spread the word about how data can be used.

The company has already brought on a new software developer, Harland Hauger, bringing the team to four full-time workers plus several contractors. It also employs a part-timer and a few interns from the code school Epicodus, said co-founder Grace Andrews.

“We also want to use the money for more engagement with the local community,” Andrews said. “It provides opportunities to discuss and talk about graph visualization and connected data and more opportunities to build the team to do that.”
