Chevy is looking to burnish it environmental credibility with a voluntary carbon reduction initiative, and is buying carbon credits from 12 universities toward a goal of reducing carbon emissions by 8 million tons.
PSU has its own plan, launched in 2010, to become “carbon neutral” by 2040 with the purchase of renewable energy credits, efficiency investments and carbon credits.
