City Council will debate whether to require private employers to provide paid sick leave to employees.
The discussion will follow the presentation of a report by a 15-person mayor-appointed committee that gathered information about implementing paid sick leave.
Committee members were not asked to make a recommendation. Instead, they were given the task of investigating issues and facts around paid sick leave, analyzing policy options, listening to different viewpoints and producing a report to help the council deliberate.
