Tonkon Torp Welcomes Sasha Petrova to its Litigation Department

Tonkon Torp LLP welcomes attorney Sasha Petrova to its Litigation Department, with a focus on appellate law and motion work. Petrova is an experienced attorney who has handled a wide range of appellate and trial court issues at both the state and federal levels.
“I am excited to join Tonkon Torp and work alongside the talented attorneys in the Litigation Department,” shared Petrova. “The opportunity to expand my practice with a focus on appellate work was a big consideration for me in joining the firm. Working with clients to advance their appeals has been a passion since I clerked for the Oregon Court of Appeals early in my career.”
In addition to appeals, Petrova helps clients with all manner of business disputes. She is practiced in all aspects of litigation, including complex motions practice. Petrova joins Tonkon Torp from Perkins Coie, where she was a litigator for five years.
“Sasha is a wonderful addition to our team,” shared Steven Wilker, Co-Chair of Tonkon Torp’s Litigation Department. “She is a talented, experienced litigator with valuable insight into the appellate process that will be of great benefit to our clients. In her active pro bono practice, Petrova represents clients on immigration matters, domestic violence disputes, and animal rights issues. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Raphael House of Portland, a domestic violence prevention program and shelter. Petrova has a B.A., magna cum laude from the University of Oregon and earned her J.D., summa cum laude from Willamette University College of Law.
