Best Images of 2021

As we start 2022, let us take a moment to look back at some of the images from the past year.
During 2021 I traveled throughout the state of Oregon to photograph people from many walks of life and in a wide variety of industries.
I put together a gallery of images from the past twelve months that I though were especially interesting and represented the variety of people and places Oregon Business has covered. From farmers in the Klamath Basin struggling with a dwindling water supply to a Willamette Falls, now in possession of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, this state is a fascinating panorama of environments and subcultures each with their own perspectives. I have had the opportunity to meet and photograph CEOs, politicians, fruit pickers, welders, investors and non-profit executive directors.
I am always grateful to the people who volunteer to stand in front of my camera. Their trust in me to help tell their stories is humbling. Sometimes I see them working in stressful situations, such as walking a picket line or working in a busy veterinary emergency room. Other time I am able to photograph them while at play, such as for our Downtime feature where we picture community and industry leaders engaged in their favorite hobbies.
Many of these photos were published previously. Some are being shown publicly for the first time here.
