Renewable energy developers are concerned Gov. Kitzhaber's 10-year energy plan does not support renewable energy generation.
Topping concerns for renewable energy developers is that the draft plan aims for 100 percent of new electricity load growth to come from energy efficiency measures, such as projects at state-owned buildings.
"It doesn't speak well for those in renewable energy when they see 100 percent of load growth in energy efficiency,” said Glenn Montgomery, executive director of the Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association.
