On Friday, a federal judge will consider plans to end longshore disupte that has stalled cargo traffic across the Northwest

At a 1:30 p.m. hearing that day, U.S. District Judge Michael Simon will hear from a National Labor Relations Board officer who wants a temporary restraining order ending a longshore standoff. The judge will also hear from the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, which wants a temporary restraining order and injunction forcing Portland terminal operator ICTSI Oregon Inc. to hand over the two jobs held by electrical workers.
