Two U.S. bank branches in Portland suffer damage the night before nationwide “shut down the corporations day.”
Vandals apparently motivated by Wednesday’s planned protest by Occupy Portland damaged several area businesses overnight, including a U.S. Bank branch at 1225 S.E. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd.
Several local media outlets told police that they received an email from a group claiming responsibility for the vandalism. It refers to an anti-corporation protest planned for Wednesday.
