Federal prosecutors charged former Portland parking operations manager Ellis K. McCoy with accepting bribes from companies doing business with the city.

U.S. Attorney for Oregon Amanda Marshall claimed in the information that from June 2004 to July 2011 the 60-year-old McCoy accepted about $124,000 in cash and gifts and travel of undetermined value in connection with his management of the city’s smart parking meter program.

The criminal charge is the result of a lengthy investigation by the FBI and Internal Revenue Service into McCoy’s relationship with Cale Parking Systems of Florida.
