Revenues in the fiscal third quarter totaled $250.5 million, up 4.8 percent from the same quarter a year ago.Â
Profits totaled $24.1 million, or 22 cents a share. Mentor had forecast profits of about 18 cents a share.Â
Mentor makes software useful in designing computer chips and other electronics. It said bookings are up and the company expects revenues of $316 million in the fourth quarter, with profits of 46 cents a share. The last quarter of the year is usually Mentor’s strongest.
