Tom Casey, the new CEO of Portland’s Integra Telecom, resigned after just seven months to become CEO of Tronox Inc.

Casey’s predecessor, Dudley Slater, ran Integra for 13 years. Casey, who had been Integra’s chairman since 2009, replaced Slater in February as Integra’s growth cooled along with the broader economy. Revenue fell 3.6 percent last year to $616 million.

Integra has historically provided phone and Internet service to small and midsized businesses – an increasingly competitive market as established telecom companies such as Comcast and CenturyLink pursue those customers.
