Xerox Corp. is meeting with engineers at five of its sites this week to discuss outsourcing some engineering jobs to an Indian company called HCL Technologies.
“Employees in selected product groups could become HCL employees,” Xerox spokesman Bill McKee said this morning.
If it proceeds, McKee said, Xerox doesn’t expect to reduce its overall Wilsonville work force or compel employees to move.
“Our expectation is that employees would remain in their current locales,” McKee said. He emphasized that the company has not announced any layoffs.
