Google says it will be expanding its renewable energy portfolio by investing $100 million in the mega wind farm project Shepherds Flat, which is under construction in Oregon.

The Shepherds Flat wind project covers 30 square miles in north-central Oregon, the largest wind farm in the world according to a statement from Google and General Electric. GE is developing the project along with renewable power company Caithness Energy.
