Seven new businesses have opened in downtown Bend in the first quarter of 2011.
“We are pleased to see new businesses move right in as businesses move out,” [Downtown Bend Business Association executive director Chuck] Arnold said. “Retail and restaurant spaces don’t stay vacant long, which we feel bodes well for the long-term vibrancy of downtown Bend.”
He said at least three more businesses will open in the current quarter, but he could not name them yet.
