Extreme Aerosports in Corvallis is set to become the nation’s only distributor of Xtreme Air’s Sbach stunt aircraft.

“This is the best aircraft you can get,” [owner Jim] Bourke said. The 20-foot carbon fiber body, six-cylinder, 315-horsepower engine can fly at speeds of 200 miles and hour and pull 20 G-forces. “There hasn’t been a competitor for 30 years for this kind of airplane.”

Bourke hopes to sell about six in the U.S. each year for about $400,000 each. In Europe, 12 of them sold last year.
