Portlandia hits nerves

New TV show Portlandia pokes fun at Portland, while also bringing an economic boost to the city.
However, not all Portlanders agree as to whether the show's satirical portrayal is good or bad for the area.
"I think it shows we've got a good sense of humor," says [Mayor Sam] Adams. "It shows we can laugh at ourselves, in addition to our reputation of being sustainable, and offering a good quality of life, and as a good place to live with lots of small businesses."
But some locals might not be laughing."What I keep hearing people repeat is that line about 'Portland is where young people come to retire,'" says Sandra McDonough, president and CEO of the Portland Business Alliance. "I'm not sure that's exactly the image we want."
