Intel experienced record revenues in 2010, with sales topping $40 billion, and forecasts an even better outlook for 2011.

The company plans to increase capital spending by $3.8 billion.

The higher spending is great news for Oregon, home to the California-based company’s largest and most advanced operations. Intel has 15,000 employees at its factories, labs and offices in Washington County.

“In 2011 everything gets better,” Chief Executive Paul Otellini told investors and analysts during a conference call Thursday. “The economy is forecast to improve, our product line refreshes from top to bottom, and our addressable market expands.”
