Tigard's Powin Corp. launched a wholly-owned subsidiary that will provide manufacturing services to the renewable energy industry.
Tigard's Powin Corp. launched a wholly-owned subsidiary that will provide manufacturing services to the renewable energy industry.
Powin Renewable Energy Resources Inc., which has a team of two Powin engineers behind it, grew out of the company's work in the industry. Powin counts Wilsonville-based Xzeres, a small wind company, as a founding customer.
"We feel the time is right to launch our renewable energy program taking advantage of our strong relationships, research, development and engineering teams we have developed in the U.S., China and Taiwan over the past 20 years," said Joseph Lu, the founder and CEO of Powin Corporation, in a press release.
