Tinker Hatfield designed Kilkenny Floor and said he wanted to pay tribute to Matthew Knight, Pat Kilkenny and the Pacific Northwest, specifically the “The Tall Firs,” the nickname of the school’s 1939 national championship team. The new stadium is set to open for the Ducks’ men’s team on Jan. 13.

The arena boasts massive scoreboards, bunker-style suites, two practice courts and an LED wrap around the concourse.
