After putting their North Portland property up for sale, Adidas executives can't shake the persistent rumors that they may leave to Boston.
For Portland, the loss of one of the brightest lights in its footwear and apparel economic cluster would be significant.
Jennifer Nolfi, the Portland Development Commission's team manager of activewear and design, said Adidas and other companies benefit from being in the city, too. The presence of Nike and other footwear and apparel makers has made it easier to attract talented workers to Portland.
