South Salem’s Lifesource Natural Foods has specialized in “clean” foods free of preservatives and food coloring for 16 years.
Lifesource owner Alex Beamer said the natural food industry was a little different when he first thought of opening his business. There were a lot of scattered co-ops and some organic products here and there, he said, but there was not an all-in-one store.
“We wanted to make a cutting-edge business in the industry,” Beamer said.
