Public records show that Republican candidate Chris Dudley has a record of lending, giving a glimpse into the wealthy business circles he is a part of.
Dudley’s business partners include some of Portland’s wealthiest power brokers. And many have thrown their clout behind his bid for governor, donating both time and money.
Dudley earned more than $30 million in 16 years in the NBA. Since leaving the league in 2003, Dudley has worked as an investment adviser to the wealthy, first at M Financial in Portland and then at Filigree Advisors of Lake Oswego.
On the side, he’s been an active investor himself. He’s got lots of capital available at short notice to pour into the right opportunity.
