Wyden to propose national vote-by-mail bill


Sen. Ron Wyden plans to introduce a national vote-by-mail bill to Congress in light of voting difficulties during this year’s primaries.

His bill would send a ballot to every registered voter before each election. Postage on the ballot envelopes would be prepaid.

Wyden, who was flanked by Gov. Kate Brown during the press conference, said bungled primaries along with efforts in at least 17 states to make voting more difficult led him to propose the legislation.
